Amazon ElastiCache now supports the Graviton2-based T4g instance family in the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, and the Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD. Customers choose ElastiCache for workloads that require accelerated performance with microsecond latency and high throughput. T4g instances are ideal for running applications with moderate CPU usage that experience temporary spikes in usage.
Amazon Graviton2 processors are custom built by Amazon using 64-bit Arm Neoverse cores to deliver the best price/performance for your cloud workloads. T4g instances leverage the Amazon Nitro System and ENA (Elastic Network Adapter). They are a burstable, general-purpose instance type that provide a baseline level of CPU performance with the ability to burst CPU usage.
Graviton2 are available for Amazon ElastiCache for Redis and for Memcached to help with a seamless update from previous generation instances.
