Starting today, you can use the next generation of Amazon Database Migration Service instances (C5, R5 and T3) to migrate your databases to Amazon Web Services. You can easily scale up to these new instance classes by modifying your existing replication instance either through the Amazon Database Migration Console or the SDK.
R5 instances are the next generation of memory optimized instances that deliver an additional 5% memory per vCPU and a ~20% increase in CPU performance over R4.
C5 instances are optimized for compute-intensive workloads and deliver cost-effective high performance at a low price-per-compute ratio.
T3 instances are the next generation burstable general-purpose instances that provide a baseline level of CPUperformance with the ability to burst CPU usage at any time for as long as required.
