Q: What is it?

A: The solution deploys high available Apache RocketMQ Cluster on Amazon Web Services 

Q: Who is the user?

A: Anyone who wants to set up an Apache RocketMQ on Amazon Web Services and prefers not to manually configure the EC2 and Apache RocketMQ settings.

Q: How does it work?

A: This solution provides CloudFormation template and configurations to automate the Apache RocketMQ setup.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: There is no up-front cost to use this solution. Apache RocketMQ is a free open-source software. Depend on the number of the EC2 instances and the selected EC2 instance type , you will be charged accordingly for the EC2 usage.

Q: How do I get started with it?

A: Click the Launch button to get started, and follow the deployment guide to complete the setup.

Q: How much development effort needed to use it?

A: No extra development effort needed. Depending on your specific use case, you can set the parameters for the Amazon EC2 and Apache RocketMQ.

Q: What are technical prerequisites?

A: 1) Make sure that resources (such as Elastic IP, EC2, VPC, NAT Gateway etc.) in your Amazon Web Services account have not reached limitation. You may submit a support case for raising the limitation if needed. 2) At least a EC2 key pair is required in the target region.

Q: Can I deploy the solution in any Amazon Web Services Region?

A: Yes. 

Q: The default architecture doesn't work for my use case. Can I have different settings?

A: Yes, you can. This solution allows you to configure your own deployment settings. For details, follow the instructions in the deployment guide.

Q: What are the most common causes of failure?

A: There are not enough Amazon Web Services resources to launch the solution.
