Q: What do I need to prepare before launching the MongoDB quickstart solution?
- To make sure that your account limitation has not been reached (EIP, EC2, VPC, NAT gateway etc ). If so, you need to submit a support case for higher limitation.
- At least a key pair in your target region.
Q: The default architecture doesn’t work for me. Can I configure my deployment differently?
Yes, you can. QuickStart allows you to tailor deployment settings to meet your requirements. For details, follow the instructions in the deployment guide.

Q: What are the most common causes of failure?
Please double check if you have enough resource limitation quotas to launch the quickstart solution. For example, if you choose 3 replica sets and 4 bastion servers in 3 Availability Zones, you will need at least 7 EIP (3 for NAT gateway, 4 for bastion servers) and 7 instances (4 for bastion servers and 3 for MongoDB replicaSets) and 3 NAT gateways. Make sure your current usage number and limitation allows you to allocate these resources.
