Amazon EKS Auto Mode Now Available in Amazon Web Services China Regions
Amazon EKS Auto Mode is now available in the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, and the Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD.
EKS Auto Mode automates Kubernetes cluster management by handling compute, storage, and networking operations. With Auto Mode, you can focus on applications while Amazon Web Services manages infrastructure provisioning, scaling, patching, and security updates. Auto Mode continuously optimizes costs through automatic instance right-sizing and supports all EC2 purchase options including Spot instances.
Auto Mode requires Kubernetes version 1.30 or later and can be enabled in new or existing clusters through the Amazon EKS API, Amazon Web Services Management Console, or infrastructure-as-code tools. Pricing is based on a per-instance management fee plus underlying EC2 costs.
