Amazon OpenSearch Service adds support for Hebrew and HanLP (Chinese NLP) language analyzer plugins. These are now available as optional plugins that you can associate with your Amazon OpenSearch Service clusters.
Amazon OpenSearch Service in the recent past announced support for Nori (Korean), Sudachi (Japanese), Pinyin (Chinese), and STConvert Analysis (Chinese) optional plugins. We are now adding two more optional plugins- Hebrew language analyzer, and a HanLP analyzer for Chinese. Similar to the existing optional plugins, the two new plugins are available as package type, ‘ZIP-PLUGIN’, along with the previously supported ‘TXT-DICTIONARY’ package type. You can use the ‘Packages’ section of the Amazon OpenSearch Service console to associate these plugins to your cluster, or use the AssociatePackage API.
Hebrew, and HanLP plugins are supported on Amazon OpenSearch Clusters running OpenSearch versions 2.11 or later, and are available in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD.
