Amazon EventBridge now supports a streamlined integration with Confluent Cloud in the EventBridge console, making it easier to configure Confluent Cloud as a source in Pipes and as a target with API destinations. Leveraging this new capability, you can increase developer agility by spending less time writing integration code and build features faster that combine Confluent Cloud with Amazon Web Services services.

Amazon EventBridge Event Bus is a serverless event router that enables you to create scalable event-driven applications. Amazon EventBridge API destinations are HTTP endpoints that you can invoke as the target of an Event Bus rule or pipe. Using API destinations, you can route events from Event Buses and Pipes to APIs outside of Amazon Web Services services, such as sending Amazon CloudTrail security events to Confluent Cloud for real-time analytics.

EventBridge Pipes provides a simple, consistent, and cost-effective way to create point-to-point integrations between event producers and consumers. You can now stream events from Confluent Cloud, a fully-managed end-to-end data streaming platform, to other Amazon Web Services services. For example, sending customer orders to reliably execute Stripe payment workflows with Amazon Step Functions.

Confluent Cloud integration in the EventBridge console is now available for customers in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, and the Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD. To get started, please refer to the Amazon EventBridge user guide.
