Amazon ElastiCache for Memcached now supports Memcached version 1.6.22 when using the node-based deployment option. With this release, you can now design your own ElastiCache for Memcached cluster using Memcached version 1.6.22. ElastiCache Serverless for Memcached already supports Memcached version 1.6.22.
This version is a cumulative update and contains all changes and improvements from version 1.6.18 to 1.6.22. For the full list of improvements and bug fixes in Amazon ElastiCache for Memcached 1.6.22, visit the release notes.
Memcached 1.6.22 support is available in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD.
To get started, create a new Memcached-compatible cache or design your own cluster with just a few clicks, using Amazon Web Services Management Console, the Amazon CLI, or one of the SDKs.
