Starting today, Amazon EC2 C6gn instances powered by Amazon Graviton2 server processors and featuring up to 100Gbps network bandwidth are available in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) region, operated by Sinnet and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) region, operated by NWCD.
Based on the Amazon Nitro System, C6gn instances deliver up to 40% better price-performance versus comparable network optimized instances. C6gn instances are ideal for applications requiring high network bandwidth such as high performance computing (HPC), network virtual appliances, data lakes and data analytics. These instances can also utilize the Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA) for workloads that can take advantage of lower network latency with Message Passing Interface (MPI) for at-scale clusters, such HPC and video processing applications. Workloads on these instances will continue to take advantage of the security, scalability and reliability of Amazon’s Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).
