Effective February 1, 2024 you will be charged ¥ 0.033 per hour for each public IPv4 address that you allocate, whether it is attached to a service or not (we already charge for IPv4 addresses that you allocate but don’t attach to an EC2 instance).

This change applies to all Amazon Web Services services including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) database instances, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) nodes, and other Amazon Web Services services that can have a public IPv4 address allocated and attached, in both Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region.

The Amazon Web Services China Region Free Tier for Amazon EC2 will include 750 hours of public IPv4 address usage per month for first 12 months.

Starting today, your Amazon Cost and Usage Reports automatically include public IPv4 address usage. When this price change goes in to effect next year you will also be able to use Amazon Cost Explorer to see and better understand your usage.

In order to make it easier for you to monitor, analyze, and audit your use of public IPv4 addresses, we have launched Public IP Insights, a new feature of Amazon VPC IP Address Manager (IPAM) that is available to you at no cost. In addition to helping you to make efficient use of public IPv4 address, Public IP Insights will give you a better understanding of your security profile. To learn more about Public IP Insights, please visit the IPAM documentation page.
