Amazon Route 53 Resolver endpoints now supports IPv6, allowing you to forward traffic to and resolve traffic from on-premises Domain Name System (DNS) resolvers with IPv6 addresses.

Amazon Route 53 is a highly available and scalable cloud DNS service. Amazon Route 53 Resolver endpoints make hybrid cloud configurations easier to manage by enabling seamless DNS query resolution across your entire hybrid cloud. With this capability, you can now create inbound endpoints with IPv6 target address to accept incoming DNS queries from your network to Route 53 Resolver, or an outbound endpoint to forward DNS queries from one or more Amazon Virtual Private Clouds (Amazon VPCs) to a IPv6 DNS resolver on your network. You can select from IPv4, IPv6, or dual-stack endpoints that support both IPv4 and IPv6 resolution.

You can configure Route 53 Resolver endpoints using the Amazon Web Services Management Console, CLI, SDK, or the Amazon Route 53 API. To learn more about configuring Route 53 Resolver endpoints and pricing, please refer to the service documentation and website
