A new major version of Microsoft SQL Server is now available on Amazon RDS for SQL Server in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD, offering performance and security fixes. Microsoft SQL Server 2022 CU9 for Express, Web, Standard, and Enterprise Editions. You can now leverage SQL Server 2022 features such as Query Store Enhancements, Parameter Sensitive Plan Optimization, and SQL Server Ledger on your Amazon RDS for SQL Server DB instances.
To create a new Amazon RDS for SQL Server 2022 DB instance, use the "Launch DB Instance" wizard in the Amazon Web Services Management Console, choose SQL Server and select “16.00.4085.2.v1” as the DB Engine Version. To learn more about SQL Server 2022 CU9, visit Microsoft’s release note.
