Amazon Glue has upgraded its serverless Python Shell jobs to add Python 3.9 support and an updated bundle of pre-loaded libraries. These jobs allow you to write complex data integration and analytics jobs in pure Python.
Amazon Glue Python Shell jobs now offer 19 common analytics libraries out of the box, including Pandas, and NumPy. Amazon Glue also updated its existing libraries to newer versions that deliver bug fixes and performance enhancements. Customers can use the bundled functionality to connect to a variety of databases, data warehouses, and Amazon Web Services services. They can also load more libraries at runtime, including high-performance libraries written in C.
This upgrade is available in the same regions as Amazon Glue
