Amazon EventBridge API Destinations is now available in the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet and the Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD, making event-driven applications more extensible by allowing you to send events to any HTTP APIs for self-managed or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications. Authorization is built in so you don’t have to write or manage additional code to authorize their requests.
Amazon EventBridge event buses and pipes are serverless event router and point-to-point integrations that enable you to create scalable event-driven applications by routing events between your own applications, third-party SaaS applications, and other Amazon Web Services services. You can specify API Destinations to be a target of a new or existing rule or as a target or enrichment for your EventBridge Pipe.
With API Destinations, you only need to specify the URL that you want to send events to along with the connection details required to authorize the request. You can use input transformations to format the payload before invoking the HTTP API. You can also specify a rate limit when invoking the endpoints to align with the third-party applications’ API limits.
