You can now use Amazon S3 Replication Time Control (S3 RTC) for predictable S3 Replication times backed by a Service Level Agreement (SLA). S3 RTC helps customers meet compliance or business requirements for data replication, and provides visibility into the replication process with Amazon CloudWatch Metrics.

Customers use S3 Replication to replicate billions of objects across buckets to the same or different Amazon Web Services China Regions. S3 Replication Time Control is designed to replicate 99.99% of objects within 15 minutes after upload, with the majority of those new objects replicated in seconds. S3 RTC is backed by an SLA with a commitment to replicate 99.9% of objects within 15 minutes during any billing month. S3 RTC also provides S3 Replication metrics (via Amazon CloudWatch) that allow customers to monitor the time it takes to complete replication, as well as the total number and size of objects that are pending replication. Using S3 RTC, customers in China can now replicate objects to buckets in the same or different Amazon Web Services China Regions and to one or more destination buckets. S3 RTC can be configured through the S3 console, SDK, or API.

Amazon S3 Replication Time Control is now available in the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, and the Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD.
