Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) for PostgreSQL now supports PostgreSQL minor versions 14.5, 13.8, 12.12, 11.17, and 10.22. We recommend you upgrade to the latest minor version to fix known security vulnerabilities in prior versions of PostgreSQL, and to benefit from the bug fixes, performance improvements, and new functionality added by the PostgreSQL community. Please refer to the PostgreSQL community announcement for more details about the release.

With this release, RDS for PostgreSQL adds a new extension named pg_tle that enables PostgreSQL extensions written in trusted procedural languages to be installed through a SQL interface. This release also includes updates for existing supported PostgreSQL extensions: PostGIS extension is updated to 3.1.7, pg_partman extension is updated to 4.6.2, and pgRouting extension is updated to 3.2.2. Please see the list of supported extensions in the Amazon RDS User Guide for specific versions.
