Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) for Oracle now supports integration with Amazon Elastic File System (EFS) in the Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD, and the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet. You can now transfer files between the RDS for Oracle DB instance and Amazon EFS file system. Amazon EFS is designed for 99.999999999% (11 9s) of durability and up to 99.99% (4 9s) of availability. You can scale to petabytes on a single NFS file system.

Using Amazon EFS integration, you can stage transitory files like Oracle Data Pump export files on EFS file system and directly import from it. Furthermore, you can leverage Amazon EFS integration for sharing a file system between RDS Oracle DB instance and an application instance, or across multiple RDS Oracle DB instances to address your application architecture needs.

To use RDS for Oracle integration with Amazon EFS, enable the EFS_INTEGRATION option, see the documentation for more information. EFS integration feature is supported for DB instance(s) in the same Region and VPC.

See Amazon RDS for Oracle Pricing for up-to-date pricing and regional availability.
