To get started, create and store your source or target (or both) credentials as a secret in Amazon Secrets Manager and then provide these details to Amazon DMS. Amazon DMS will retrieve credentials from Amazon Secrets Manager every time it needs to connect to the endpoint. By storing credentials in Amazon Secrets Manager, you can reduce the overhead of maintaining DMS source and target authentication system, including: auditing, updating, and rotating your source and target database related credentials.
Learn more about rotating your Amazon DMS source and target database credentials through Amazon Secrets manager referring to our technical documentation.
