Amazon RDS for SQL Server now supports Extended Events in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD

Amazon RDS for SQL Server now support SQL Server extended events, a performance monitoring system that can be used to monitor and troubleshoot performance problems in SQL Server.  

Extended events are captured in event sessions. Each event session can capture events such as backup and restore, and can collect information when events occur (actions). This collected information is passed on to various destinations (targets). Extended event sessions are visible on the Management tab of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
