Amazon ElastiCache for Redis now supports Redis 6.2 in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD. In this release, there are performance improvements for TLS-enabled clusters having nodes with 8 vCPUs or more. These enhancements are designed to improve throughput and reduce client connection establishment time by offloading encryption to other vCPUs. ElastiCache for Redis 6.2 also enables you to manage access to Pub/Sub channels with Access Control List (ACL) rules. You can upgrade the engine version of your cluster or replication group by modifying it and specifying 6.2 as the engine version. To learn more about upgrading engine versions, click here.
