Amazon ElastiCache for Redis and Memcached now supports Graviton2 M6g and R6g instance families in the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet and the Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD. Customers choose Amazon ElastiCache for workloads that require blazing-fast performance with sub-millisecond latency and high throughput. Now, with Graviton2 M6g and R6g instances, customers can enjoy up to a 45% price/performance improvement over previous generation instances. Graviton2 instances are now the default choice for Amazon ElastiCache customers.  

Amazon Graviton2 processors are custom built by Amazon using 64-bit Arm Neoverse cores to deliver the best price performance for your cloud workloads. Amazon ElastiCache Graviton2 instances are available in sizes large to 16xlarge to offer memory flexibility. The Amazon ElastiCache memory optimized R6g offers memory from 13.07 GiB to 419.10 GiB and the general purpose M6g cache instance offers memory that ranges from 6.38 GiB to 209.55 GiB. The Graviton2-based instances leverage the Amazon Nitro System and ENA (Elastic Network Adapter) to deliver higher network bandwidths on smaller instances compared to R5 and M5 instance families. Amazon ElastiCache Graviton2 instances also come with the latest Amazon Linux 2, which replaces  the soon-to-be deprecated Amazon Linux 1. Furthermore, Graviton2 instances support the latest versions of Redis and Memcached with a seamless upgrade from previous generation instances.

M6g and R6g instances are now available for the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet and the Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD. You can purchase these instances as On Demand or as Reserved Instances with 1 or 3 year commitment periods.
