Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) has reduced control plane creation time by 40%, enabling you to create a new EKS cluster control plane in 9 minutes or less, on average.

Amazon EKS is a managed service that makes it easy for you to run Kubernetes on Amazon Web Services. Faster control plane creation time means you can rapidly test new features and iterate on your application infrastructure. This is especially useful if you have adopted continuous integration and continuous deployment mechanisms that require frequent cluster creation which improves agility for your teams.

This improvement is available in all regions where EKS is available, including the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, and the Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD. To learn more about launching Amazon EKS clusters, please refer to the EKS documentation. To learn more about how to get started with Amazon EKS, visit the product page.
