EBS direct APIs for Snapshots are now available in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD.
With EBS direct APIs, backup providers can now easily track incremental changes on EBS volumes via EBS snapshots and streamline their workflows to reduce backup times by up to 70%. They can directly read snapshots and get differences between two snapshots without needing to create EBS volumes and EC2 instances. This enables backup providers to provide more granular recovery point objectives (RPOs) to Amazon Web Services customers at lower costs.
