Patch Manager, a capability of Amazon Systems Manager, now allows you to deploy patches automatically to instances running Debian 8 (Jessie), Debian 9 (Stretch), and Oracle Linux 7.6.
Previously, you could automatically patch Linux instances running Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu Server, Amazon Linux, Amazon Linux 2, CentOS, and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) through Patch Manager. Now you can also patch instances running Debian 8, Debian 9, and Oracle Linux 7.6, giving you more patching options for your mixed Linux environments.
