Amazon Cost Explorer Rightsizing Recommendations now includes Amazon EBS metrics in its analysis to generate enhanced EC2 instance type recommendations.
Historically, customers were required to analyze EBS volume metrics on their own in order to identify whether their EC2 instances have been throttled by EBS bandwidth or IOPS limits. With this enhancement, Amazon Cost Explorer Rightsizing Recommendations helps customers identify EC2 instances that are experiencing EBS bandwidth or IOPS bottleneck and automatically recommends more suitable EC2 instance types for their applications. This new feature helps customers improve the performance of their applications.
The enhancement is available in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD. Learn more about Amazon Cost Explorer Rightsizing Recommendations here.
