A new version of the AWS CodeDeploy agent is now available which includes improved memory efficiency for Amazon Linux 2 (AL2), Ubuntu and RHEL7, adds support for Ubuntu 19.10 and Ubuntu 20.04, and fixes stability issues on Windows Server 2019 related to Disk Cleanup. This agent version makes it easier for customers to use AWS CodeDeploy to update their applications hosted on their preferred operating systems on Amazon EC2 and On-Premises instances.  

CodeDeploy is a deployment service that automates your application updates to a variety of compute services such as serverless lambda functions and Amazon Container Service (ECS). The CodeDeploy agent is software used to facilitate deploying to servers such as Amazon EC2, On-Premises instances and other virtual machines.
