Today Amazon Direct Connect has landed two new locations in Shanghai and Shenzhen providing dedicated access to the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) region operated by Sinnet. Direct Connect in Shanghai, operated by NWCD is live at the GDS Shanghai No.3 Data Center location and in Shenzhen, also operated by NWCD, is live at the GDS Shenzhen No.3 Data Center.

Customers in Shanghai and Shenzhen can now establish a dedicated network connection from their premises to Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) region operated by Sinnet. As with any Amazon Direct Connect site, these sites conform to the standard resiliency model that includes two customer facing devices per location that allow customers to establish locally resilient connectivity and redundant connectivity to the backbone network. Using Amazon Direct Connect, you can establish private connectivity between Amazon Direct Connect locations and your datacenter, office, or colocation environment, which in many cases can reduce your network costs, increase bandwidth throughput, and provide a more consistent network experience than Internet-based connections. Connections are always made to a particular Direct Connect location, and a variety of capacities are supported starting at 50 Mbps up to 10 Gbps.

Please see the Amazon Direct Connect webpage for details on our locations and pricing. Instructions on how to set up Amazon Direct Connect are available in our Amazon Direct Connect Users Guide. Sign in to your Amazon Web Services Management Console to order Amazon Direct Connect today!
