Amazon API Gateway now supports secured connectivity between REST APIs and Amazon Virtual Private Clouds in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD. Customers can now isolate traffic between their Amazon VPCs and REST APIs from the internet using Private API and VPC Link features provided by API Gateway.
Private APIs enable you to securely expose REST APIs to resources only within your VPC or to those connected to your data centers via Amazon Direct Connect. If you have existing Edge Optimized or Regional APIs in API Gateway, you can convert them to Private APIs. VPC Links feature allows you to create REST APIs in front of your secured VPC resources without exposing them to the internet.
