Now, you can enable your applications and federated users in the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) region, operated by Sinnet and the Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD to complete longer running workloads in the Amazon Web Services cloud using a single session by increasing the maximum session duration up to 12 hours for an IAM role. You can extend the maximum session duration for an IAM role to up to 12 hours using the IAM console or CLI. Once you increase the maximum session duration, users and applications assuming the IAM role can request temporary credentials that expire when the IAM role session expires.
