Amazon Config, a service that enables you to assess, audit, and evaluate the configurations of your Amazon Web Services resources, is introducing a new tiered pricing model for Amazon Config rules, effective immediately.
With the new tiered pricing model for Amazon Config rules, your costs can decrease based on the number of active Amazon Config rules per Region across your Amazon Web Services accounts. The new pricing model allows you to use Amazon Config rules at scale with lower prices per active Amazon Config rule per month at higher usage tiers. Prior to this new pricing model, Amazon Web Services charged a flat price per rule per month.
The price of Amazon Config for recording configuration items remains unchanged. This new pricing model applies to Amazon Config rules only.
