Now, you can add additional protection to your Amazon Web Services accounts in the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region operated by Sinnet and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region operated by NWCD, by enabling virtual multi-factor authentication (MFA) when you sign in to the Amazon Management Console. By setting up a virtual MFA, you will be required to provide a second factor of authentication during every sign-in to protect your account from unauthorized access in case your username and password has been compromised. Before you begin setting up your virtual MFA, you will need to download an application that you can use to host the virtual MFA devices. You can configure your virtual MFA on your Security Credentials tab by using the downloaded application.

To learn more about how to setup a virtual MFA on sign-in, see Enabling a Virtual Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) Device.
