Opportunity | Driving Breakthroughs Amid the Global
Renewable Energy Expansion
Amid the global shift toward energy transition, Chinese renewable energy companies are accelerating their international expansion through technological innovation. Deye has emerged as a key driver of energy system transformation in emerging markets with its competitively priced products and differentiated market positioning. In regions such as Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia—where power infrastructure is underdeveloped and outages frequently occur—Deye’s residential energy storage systems are effectively meeting local needs and rapidly gaining market share. In mature markets like Europe and North America, time-of-use pricing policies are driving demand for commercial and industrial energy storage systems, and Deye meets this need with intelligent energy scheduling under dynamic electricity pricing.
However, as its business expands into more countries and regions, Deye faces several challenges in its globalization journey.
Local compliance and security risks: Countries/regions have stringent requirements for data privacy and product certification, such as the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Traditional IT architectures struggled to keep pace with evolving regulatory requirements, increasing the risk of business disruptions.
High cross-region latency: With the traditional architecture, high network latency during cross-region interactions between IoT devices and business systems hampered real-time data analysis and device response efficiency, leading to suboptimal user experiences.
Delayed service response: In emerging markets, users prefer cost-effective products. However, the inefficient manual ticket processing system and poor coordination in spare parts management eroded customer satisfaction and reduced repurchase rates.
To address these challenges, Deye chooses Amazon Web Services as its cloud service provider to facilitate its global expansion. By leveraging Amazon Web Services is globally distributed infrastructure, proven best practices, and reliable support, Deye has established a digital foundation that enables its efficient and resilient business expansion and growth. Anchored in Amazon Web Services is global infrastructure, the new solution is backed by a comprehensive compliance certification framework that ensures secure cross-border data flows and meets local regulatory requirements. Drawing on its global experience, Amazon Web Services offers replicable models for building international digital systems. In addition, Amazon Web Services is localization support teams deliver around-the-clock technical assistance and comprehensive compliance services, helping Deye accelerate its global rollout.

AI Enabled Green Energy and Better Life
Global Network Acceleration: Enhancing Real-Time Interactions Across Millions of Devices
Deye manages millions of solar inverters and energy storage systems deployed worldwide, all of which require real-time access to regional power trading systems. By leveraging Amazon Web Services is global network backbone and high-speed inter-Region Direct Connect, Deye has reduced cross-region latency in regions such as Europe, Africa, and Asia-Pacific to 0.2 seconds, supporting millions of concurrent devices. With Amazon CloudFront edge nodes, Deye has established a high-performance cloud foundation for global operations, accelerating access for end-users around the world. Deye Cloud API response time has been significantly reduced, and CDN caching strategies are dynamically optimized based on real-time traffic monitoring to provide real-time visualization of inverter performance data.
Security, Compliance, and Localization: Building a Resilient Foundation for Global Operations
As Deye’s renewable energy products are closely linked to power grids of countries and regions, the company faces far more rigorous data compliance and cybersecurity requirements than those of traditional cloud use cases. Deye deploys its core systems in the Amazon Web Services Frankfurt and Virginia Regions, and has established a compliance framework aligned with regional regulations such as the EU data residency requirements and data sovereignty laws in the Middle East, enhancing the global expansion of its inverters and environmental appliances.
With security services such as Amazon GuardDuty for real-time threat detection, Amazon Inspector for automatic vulnerability scanning, and Amazon Gateway Load Balancer (GWLB) for load balancing, Deye can automatically verify compliance with data storage and transmission requirements of countries and regions with 143 certifications, including GDPR and ISO 27001, to mitigate regulatory risks. In addition, Deye procures third-party security solutions in Amazon Web Services Marketplace, building a hybrid security system that spans devices, grid interfaces, and the cloud to safeguard against external attacks and maintain system stability. Amazon Web Services Marketplace streamlines software procurement and accelerates Deye’s project deployment.
Deye AI Assistant: Maximizing Returns Under Dynamic Electricity Pricing
In many European and North American countries, dynamic electricity pricing is common, with rates fluctuating every 15 to 30 minutes. Built on Amazon Web Services, the Deye AI Assistant leverages machine learning and predictive optimization technologies to forecast power generation, electricity price fluctuations, and user demand. Based on this analysis, it recommends energy arbitrage strategies—buying low and selling high—to maximize energy storage returns. Amazon Web Services including Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS for MySQL, Amazon EKS, Amazon ALB, and Amazon NLB ensure high availability for the Deye AI Assistant, enabling its 24/7 connectivity with power trading systems across multiple countries and regions.
Deye AI Customer Service: Generative AI-Powered Global Service Upgrade
With devices deployed in over 110 countries and regions, Deye is required to provide 24/7 multilingual support for users worldwide. However, its traditional customer service system has three main weaknesses: lack of local language support, challenges due to time zone differences, and limited technical expertise. Deye partners with Goclouds, an Amazon Web Services advanced consulting partner, to build an AI customer service system to support its renewable energy customers worldwide using ConnectNow, an intelligent omnichannel customer contact center from Goclouds. With Amazon Bedrock, a foundation model management service, and advanced generative AI models, ConnectNow enables users and distributors to reach Deye via multiple channels, including the mobile app, the official website, independent websites, emails, WhatsApp, and Facebook. The AI chatbot supports over 30 languages and ensures 24/7 responsiveness. It can automatically resolve 60% of common issues by referencing specified knowledge bases, while AI tools also enhance live agents’ efficiency in handling tickets. Looking ahead, Deye plans to transform its AI customer service system into a centralized intelligent service hub, enabling AI agents to autonomously diagnose and resolve device faults, handle customer instructions, and automate spare parts ordering and logistics management, improving both global after-sales service quality and customer satisfaction.
