Q2. What other actions need I take after submitted the information in Amazon Web Services website?

You don’t need any other action. After you submit information, our business development representative will contact you within one business day and assist you in completing the account registration.

Q3. Why I need to upload a business registration certificate to register an Amazon Web Services China region account?

Amazon Web Services China account is only opened for registration by a Chinese (mainland) legal entity at this stage. You will need to provide a business registration certificate for us to verify your identity.

Q4. What are requirements for the business registration certificate I need to upload?

The picture or scanned copy of business registration certificate you provide must be the latest version, and the content on the picture should be clearly recognizable. In addition, the size of each picture or scanned copy must be less than 10MB, and acceptable formats include jpg, jpeg, bmp, png and pdf.

Q5. What types of business registration certificate are acceptable?

Business License, Certificate of Legal Person of Institution, Certificate of unified social credit code, Registration Certificate for Private Non-Enterprise Units, Practice license of law firm and Registration Certificate of Resident Representative Offices of Foreign Enterprises are acceptable. If your business registration certificate type is not in the list, please select “Others” to upload your certificate for identity verification.

Q6. What is the role of information security administrator?

According to the requirements of the Anti-Terrorism Law of the People's Republic of China and Cyber Security Law of the People's Republic of China for identity verification and information security management, all telecom service users must provide the relevant information of information security person who is in charge of information security to ensure that network security issues can be processed timely and accurately. The information security administrator must understand the network resources, security;and protection measures, system maintenance log, workflow, responsibilities of the relevant staff, and shall be entitled with authority to handle network related emergency issues. When the following issues occurs, the information security administrator shall react and process timely: 1) domain lacking the ICP recordal; 2) illegal content on the website; 3) Network attack; 4) illegal use of VPN ; 5) all kinds of situations required by regulator for the purpose of auditing or taking down illegal behaviors.

In addition, the information security administrator must be able to communicate with regulator in Chinese when any of the above situation happens.

Q7: Why need I provide the information security administrator’s personal ID?

According to the requirements of the Anti-Terrorism Law of the People's Republic of China and Cyber Security Law of the People's Republic of China for identity verification and information security management, all telecom service users must provide the relevant information of information security person who is in charge of information security to ensure that network security issues can be processed timely and accurately.

Q8: What personal ID types of Information security administrator are acceptable?

PRC Identity Card, Passport, [Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents] and [Mainland travel permit for Taiwan residents]. Other types are not acceptable.

Q9: How long can I receive the validation result after I submit my files?

Your registration email address will receive an e-mail from us within 2 business days. If you did not receive the validation result, please contact us through the following channels:

Q10: What should I do for the next step after received the notification email (validation passed)?

You need to click the button of [Complete Signup] in the notification email to continue your signup.

Q11: What should I do for the next step after receiving the notification email (validation failed)?

You will need to click the button of [Resubmission] in the notification email to re-submit your information which failed validation. 

Q12: Can I start the Amazon Web Services services after received the notification email of validation success?

Not yet. You will need to click the button of [Complete Signup] in the notification email to complete phone verification and select the support plan. After completing these steps, your account will be activated and you can start the Amazon Web Services service.
