Amazon S3 now provides source region information in server access logs
Amazon S3 server access logs now include source region information, specifying which Amazon S3 Region requests to your data originate from. This identifies applications that are making cross-region requests, helping you to optimize cost and performance.
Source region information automatically appears at the end of each server access log entry with no additional configuration. For example, if your application requests data from your cn-north-1 bucket from cn-northwest-1, the log entry shows " cn-northwest-1 " as the source region.
This feature will be available in all Regions, including Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) region, operated by Sinnet, and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) region, operated by NWCD, in the coming weeks at no additional cost.
