Amazon EventBridge now supports increased 1MB payload size
Amazon EventBridge announces support for larger event and message payloads, up to 1 Megabyte (MB). This enhancement helps developers simplify their architectures by enabling richer, more complex payloads without the need to split, compress, or externalize data.
Amazon EventBridge is a serverless event router that enables you to create scalable event-driven applications by routing events between your applications, third-party SaaS applications, and other services. These applications often need to process rich contextual data, including large-language model prompts, telemetry signals, and complex JSON structures for machine learning outputs. The new 1MB payload support in EventBridge Event Buses enables developers to streamline their architectures by including comprehensive data, from detailed user profiles to complete transaction histories, in a single event, eliminating the need for complex data chunking or external storage solutions.
This feature is now available for customers in the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, and the Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD. To get started, please refer to the Amazon EventBridge user guide.
