Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) for MariaDB now supports community MariaDB minor versions 10.6.24, 10.11.15, 11.4.9, and 11.8.5 in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region operated by Sinnet and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region operated by NWCD. We recommend that you upgrade to the latest minor versions to fix known security vulnerabilities in prior versions of MariaDB, and to benefit from the bug fixes, performance improvements, and new functionality added by the MariaDB community.
You can leverage automatic minor version upgrades to automatically upgrade your databases to more recent minor versions during scheduled maintenance windows. You can also use Amazon RDS Managed Blue/Green deployments for safer, simpler, and faster updates to your MySQL instances.
