Starting today, the Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) for SQL Server now supports secondary host metrics in Enhanced Monitoring in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD. Customers can now view essential metrics associated on the secondary host of a Multi-AZ DB instance, such as free storage, free memory, Read/Write IOPS, Read/Write Throughput, CPU utilization, and etc.

Just like with primary host metrics, customers can create metric filters from the Enhanced Monitoring CloudWatch Logs, display graphs on the CloudWatch dashboard, and set up CloudWatch Alarms for the secondary host.

Amazon RDS makes it simple to set up, operate, and scale SQL Server deployments in the cloud. See Amazon RDS for SQL Server Pricing for up-to-date pricing of instances, storage, data transfer and regional availability.
