Amazon DataSync, an online data movement service that simplifies, automates, and accelerates moving data between on-premises storage and Amazon Storage services, is now available in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet, and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD.
As a fully-managed service, Amazon DataSync makes it easy to move millions of files and petabytes of data to and from Amazon Storage services. It uses a purpose-built network protocol and scale-out architecture to accelerate data movement and provides built-in security capabilities such as encryption of data in-transit and at-rest, along with end-to-end data integrity verification. Amazon DataSync optimizes the use of your network with bandwidth throttling controls and compression of data in flight, and can automatically recover from temporary network issues. In addition, Amazon DataSync provides control and monitoring capabilities, such as data transfer scheduling, include and exclude filters, and granular visibility into the transfer process through Amazon CloudWatch metrics, logs, and events.
