You can now access Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling and Application Auto Scaling within your Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) as these Auto Scaling services now support Amazon PrivateLink. With Amazon PrivateLink support, you can now privately access auto scaling services from your VPC, without using public IPs, and without requiring the traffic to traverse across the internet.

You can now use newly created endpoints in Application Auto Scaling for Amazon PrivateLink support. You can continue to use existing endpoints in EC2 Auto Scaling for Amazon PrivateLink support. Amazon PrivateLink support for the above auto scaling services is now available in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD.

Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling helps you manage EC2 capacity by automatically adding or removing EC2 instances according to the conditions you define. Application Auto Scaling helps you manage capacity for other services such as Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon ECS, Amazon EMR, Amazon Aurora, and Amazon EC2 SpotFleet.

Amazon PrivateLink simplifies the security of data shared with cloud-based applications by eliminating the exposure of data to the public Internet. Amazon PrivateLink provides private connectivity between VPCs, Amazon Web Services services, and on-premises applications securely on the Amazon network. Amazon PrivateLink makes it easy to connect services across different accounts and VPCs to significantly simplify the network architecture.
