You can now create alarms on metric math expressions such as +, -, /, *, and mathematical functions such as Sum, Average, Min, Max, and Standard Deviation. This enables you to create thresholds and set automated actions to fix operational issues.
You can leverage Amazon CloudFormation templates to create and modify metric math alarms consistently across your Amazon Web Services resources and applications. Recently triggered alarms on metric expressions alarms are instantly added to the new CloudWatch Automatic Dashboards, accelerating root cause analysis.
Metric Math Alarms are available in Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) region, operated by Sinnet, and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) region, operated by NWCD.
