The Shanghai Gaming IDAC unites resources and consolidates offerings from Amazon Web Services and Xuhui government to support customers in gaming and digital content related business. The Amazon Web Services Gaming IDAC is aiming to enable various parties in gaming industry. It provides mainly six benefits: 1) Gaming Tech Joint Lab to boost cutting age digital technology for leading gaming companies; 2) Demo Center & Boot camp to share lasted industry trends and deliver training to builders; 3) Gaming-eco alliance to provide comprehensive gaming solutions; 4) Next Generation Gaming Acceleration Camp to identify & cultivate new gaming corps & studios; 5) Global Expansion enablement program to provide guidance on global presence for local gaming players; 6) Government subsidy to save cost for selected local companies.

Why do we set up Gaming IDAC in Xuhui Shanghai?

Shanghai Xuhui District is one of the leading game industry clusters in China. Most of the leading game companies has set up headquarters and offices in Xuhui, including Mihoyo, Tencent, Netease, Funplus, Lilith, HyperGryph, Giant Network, Perfect World and Yoozoo. In 2022, game companies in Xuhui generated total revenue of $8.5B, accounting for 20% of China’s gaming revenue. In addition to gaming, Xuhui also ranks 1st in Shanghai in terms of revenue in digital content related industries. Starting in late 2022, Xuhui District has announced a series of policies to further support the development of gaming industry, including innovation support and copyright protection.
